Anyway, I’ll just get to the main point. The D-Pad Network basically hasn’t been doing too great in the past few months with the closure of basically all of our network sites except for one which has been developing… but doesn’t seem to be getting too far besides a pretty layout. KJ and I were placed in charge of things around here being Link has left us to work on other projects. We spent a few weeks thinking and concluded there really wasn’t much of any remaining hope for the network. We’ve made countless attempts to start up the D-Pad blog again but all have fallen through. With the community falling apart, we concluded D-Pad’s previous vision needed to be abandoned and PCS took over as the heart of the network.

Under PCS, we’re planning to make some major changes around here, starting with the community and then reaching outwards to our sites once more. We’ll keep you posted with our revival plans as they continue to carry on. For now, we hope you’ll stay with us as you’ve probably been if you’re still reading this and enjoy your time at PCS. If you have any unanswered questions you may feel free to post them.

So, being I announced there will be a profile system for the game, as well as D-PadNetwork account integration as well, here’s a diagram I just drew up in Visio explaining how the saving will be done, if anyone’s interested.

McCain is such a computer illiterate, that even when he appears on the internet through a banner ad he screws up the flow of the internet! I mean look at this! If you can’t see, click the image, but what he did was screw up the website so badly, there’s now a giant page-stretch of DOOM!

You don’t see a page-stretch now, right? No, of course you don’t. This is because we’ve added John McCain to our advertisement black-lists, to protect ourselves (and America) from this monstrosity!

I called GoDaddy’s tech support to ask them what was up and they blamed the fact that we have content on our site and are using SQL Databases. We know that’s obviously not true being that even pages that make no use of a database are unbelievably slow too. So finally having had enough, Frank and I are moving to D-Pad’s server. In order to use it you must be a registered member on the forums and have had made at least five posts in the past five days. This is to ensure forum activity will be maintained unlike last time when we had a dust bowl forum but like a thousand games being played each day.

(http://radio.imapcsite.com) I switched it from using a simple PHP Include() and automatic refreshes to using AJAX. AJAX enables the site to now have its server info table automatically refreshed without needing to reload the entire page. Additionally, I added the forum shoutbox too. Go try it out!
