Two Travelers

I (spontaneously) try my hand at the short allegory and this is what comes out:

Two travelers are walking down a path to a distant city far beyond the horizon. One stops and says, “What is the point of walking if we cannot even glimpse the city?”
The other continues and shouts back, “What is the point of thinking if it stops us from walking?”
The first traveler, persuaded, resumes walking.

I’m having a field day interpreting it; would anyone like to take a shot in the comments section?
