Get Paid to Search - Microsoft Launches “Search Perks”

Microsoft has launched a new campaign to revive the popularity of “Live Search” and even Internet Explorer, at the same time, known as “Search Perks.” You log into http://searchperks.com with your Windows Live ID, download a toolbar plugin and start running random searches into Live Search to rack up the “tickets.”

The epic and clever catch though that Microsoft has made, is that you have to use Internet Explorer to participate. The page won’t let you in if you’re using say Firefox or Google Chrome.

The SearchPerks toolbar add-on displays your earned tickets today and total count. Microsoft restricts you to only be able to earn up to twenty-five (25) tickets in a single day, but in one week you can still earn up to 175. Not too bad I guess.

Oh yeah, what do you do with these tickets earned? Well, this whole SearchPerks thing is set to end on April 15th of 2009, once it’s over you’ll be able to spend your earned tickets on some of the prizes they offer. These range from clothes, to video games, and books and Frequent Flyer Miles.

So if you’re interested at all, head on over to http://searchperks.com and get started.

You can probably use firefox if you use IE Tab. It’s IE, with the Firefox interface really.

    Hi Zahid,
I don’t think that Microsoft is allowing anyone to claim prizes until April 15th of 2009. Come then they’re going to stop the offer and then anyone with enough tickets will be able to claim what they want.
