Tags: , , ,

This week, newspaper reports suggest authorities in both the UK and Sweden are to launch a crackdown on online gaming operators, which includes poker sites, who may be bending the rules in those jurisdictions. The new UB poker has started to become much friendlier to the newer players at the lower limits.

Culture secretary Jeremy Hunt according to The Daily Mail in the UK reports is on the war path to prevent overseas operators advertising in the UK. Many believe that this move could drive hundreds of foreign firms out of the country. If you use UB promotional code when signing up for the website, you will end up getting a bonus.

The Sweden financial daily claimed the Swedish Tax Authority intends to investigate online poker companies which asserted to be based overseas but on the other hand ran much of their business operations out of Sweden.

In relation to the possible crackdown, Isildur1 could be facing a bitter price for exposing his true identity. A report says that Viktor Blom, the 20-year-old poker pro behind the formerly anonymous high stakes online player, could be facing a tax bill of as much as $149 million if Swedish authorities decide to crack down on online poker players.
