Well, with any service that gets popular around the internet, there’s bound to be some hackers included in that population. The same stands for Twitter. Kaspersky Labs discovered a fake profile of the Brazilian Celebrity, Kelly Kelly, that promises to link you to hot Brazilian girls, but instead sends you to a malicious application. It’s disguised as Adobe Flash player, however it’s a fake version of it and you have to install it to “see” the “videos.” Additionally, instead of just getting one Trojan out of this, the victim’s machine gets slammed with ten, that are all desguised as MP3 files.
So basically, we can only expect more of these profiles to pop up unless Twitter can possibly do something against this.. which does not seem much likely, sadly.
