Eh, right now it’s just still a fantasy so don’t worry much of it at least for now. Those really cool guys that know everything say that now only 1 in 20 songs downloaded from the great interweb are actually paid for. Piratism up 40%, in-store CD sales remain around normal. BUT… now we have the music dudes wanting ISP’s to monitor packets? Wait, what?
So they want ISP’s to somehow manage to know when a user is pirating content and give them a warning the first time they do, suspend their connection for a bit the second time, and terminate their contract come the third violation. Well that’s just neat, but everyone knows that’ll be even more difficult than feeding the fish while constipated. Guess the music industry will just have to keep dreaming.
That sums up this ridiculously retarded news report.
