Facebook - The #1 Social Spamworking Site

facebook-the-1-social-spamworking-site

Many users of social networking website, Facebook, are becoming aggravated with the growing amount of “forced invites” throughout many apps. Facebook allows people to program applications that users can “add” to their profile and if they want, use the internal invite system to send notifications to friends that will appear the next time they sign in. However, many new and existing developers are implementing forced invites whereas the user has to invite twenty friends before they can start using the app or get their results or whatever.

This is angering many Facebook users including myself. I clear about twenty invites before I go to bed, then when I wake up in the morning I have another fifty to get rid of, and what about people with hundreds of friends on facebook? I feel quite sorry for them. Facebook is quickly drifting from its purpose of being a place for people to hang out online and kill time to the equivalent of a bulk mail folder.

Facebook users have begun with a petition that’s sent to the staff when signed. If you’re a Facebook user yourself, do a deed; click here and sign it too. Additionally you can add that petition app to your profile to try and get more people to sign it. Lastly, you can join the group! Hopefully Facebook will come to their senses finally after a little while like with that whole “is in status message” dilemma.

The site at the moment is looking quite blue. Oh wait…
