Online retailer Amazon.com announced recently that the Nintendo Wii was amongst its top-selling-item list of 2007. Amazon said it sold about 17 consoles per second while they were in-stock. Of course, make sure you read and understood carefully how I said “while they were in-stock.” Additionally, Amazon mentioned Super Mario Galaxy and Call of Duty 4 were among its top-selling video games. The three huge hits helped make 2007 Amazon’s most profitable year to date.
Amazon mentioned their busiest day of the holiday season was December 10th on which 62.5 items per-second were ordered making a total of 5.4 million items purchased. On its most active shipping day, Amazon shipped over 3.9 million shipments to over 200 countries.
