Spherack Online v2.0.0 - v2.0.1 Patch
Well I’ve finally got around to getting an update out for Spherack, and this time I’ve added a spiffy new map, as well as some cool new physics!
I’ve built a new map, “Triblassic” which is a remake of the original Spherack Online map as seen in v0.8.0. Though this may lack detailed tiles like the other maps have, this map certainly beats them all when it comes to game-play! Triblassic contains some new slanted tiles so you can climb up hills and the level looks a lot more rounded. Additionally, I’ve rebuilt the old “ice blocks” so when you walk on these you end up sliding.
If that’s not good enough for you, Triblassic also offers THREE bomb-sites. All the other maps contain only one, but with Triblassic, Eradian players can choose to drop their presents at one of the three flags positioned on the eastern side of the map.
This map was designed to also keep it from getting old and boring fast. You can choose from a number of paths to take to get to your opponents. Want to go low? Sure. Want to stay high? That’s fine too. Want to run straight through the sight of aim? Go right ahead! Need to cool down? Take a nice relaxing swim in the cool, icy water.
Oh, and another thing? You can hide-out here too. Triblassic is filled with little platforms you can camp on and jump out to surprise your opponents. Additionally, it features one-way blocks! Spot an enemy wakling on the platform above you? If you’re so lucky to be standing under a block with an up-arrow, you can jump up through that block and pwn their face, with them totally off-gaurd!
Yep. So I’ve bragged about it long enough; go play it! Run your Spherack Online client and it will automatically download the updates needed. There’s also an update available for the server if you’re planning on running one. Just launch your server and it’ll update itself too.
Note to game hosts:
You can switch to the Triblassic map by typing “/map 7″ in your Server Console window or else clicking on the Triblassic button in the map tab.
Enjoy!
